STABILA
Founded in Maikammer, Germany in 1820, STABILA is nearly two centuries old. Gustav Ullrich, the founder, was swept up in the fervor of invention and innovation during the Industrial Revolution, and he sought to capitalize on that same spirit of the times. In 1951, STABILA came up with the idea of adjoining a number of yardsticks, connected by hinges, to create what would later be dubbed the “Ullrich Hinged Rule.” It was an immediate success and hit factories shortly after it was patented.
