We have been using these in our workshop now for quite a while with very good success , These surface mount sockets are threaded all the way to fit through thin and thick surfaces , the socket can be used with or without the plate  and with or without the dustcover which seals very well making it ideal for exterior applications.These sockets are 20 amp continuous @ 12 volts , 25 amp peak and 0-36 volt rated .
