Intercoolers & Intercooler Piping

Intercoolers are heat exchangers that are used to cool the air that is compressed by the turbocharger or supercharger in a forced induction engine. The tubes that link the intercooler to the rest of the engine's air intake system are referred to as intercooler pipes. In high performance or racing applications, intercoolers and intercooler pipework are frequently used to lower the temperature of the air entering the engine, which can boost horsepower and torque.
